The WISTRA CRG-20 metallic furnace is designed for the heat treatment of products requiring high temperatures and perfectly controlled atmospheres (high vacuum or high purity neutral gas).
The application fields of the CRG-20 furnace are sintering or heat treatment of technical ceramics, transparent ceramics, high temperature metals and alloys, soldering/brazing operations, etc.
The furnace guarantees a very high level of purity of the atmosphere by using a metal casing and a vacuum level up to 10-6 mbar.

Détails
The oven has a maximum temperature of 2000° C.
Its 20-liter working volume contains tungsten heating elements and tungsten (front) and molybdenum (back) radiation shields.
The opening and closing of the oven is made easy using an electric lifter, while the products are easily accessible for loading and unloading operations.
The furnace is designed to work under high vacuum and allows in this case to reach level of pressures lower than 10-6 mbar, or under neutral gas flow (argon or nitrogen).
The furnace is controlled with a thermocouple in one zone, while a pyrometer is used to monitor the temperature as close as possible to the products during the thermal cycle.
Programming and monitoring the oven is very simple thanks to a dedicated PC interface.
Transparent ceramics such as YAG or MgAl2O4 have been successfully sintered in this furnace. The furnace has only been used for about 15 cycles and exclusively for the two materials described above.
The sintering cycle is fully adjustable as well as the minimal vacuum level to allow heating above a certain temperature.
Argon gas is generally used to clean the furnace chamber and to fill it after returning to atmospheric pressure.
